The leadership spirited by the liberation war is the must for making a Smart Bangladesh

The glorious Victory of ours has been achieved in just nine months due to the committed struggle, devoted sacrifices and the war tactics of our freedom fighters. Bengali nation has made a history written in blood letters. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the great hero of the liberation war, got a new identity to the world. Bangladesh recognized him as the father of the nation. In order to build a smart Bangladesh in the upcoming elections, leadership believing in the ideals of the father of the nation and the spirit of the liberation war is essential.

On the occasion of Great Victory Day on Saturday (December 16), engineer leaders opined so while paying tribute to the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi and Savar National Memorial and on behalf of the country's oldest professional institution, Engineers Institution, Bangladesh (IEB).

Engineer Md. Abdus Sabur, President of Engineers' Institution and Bangladesh and Awami League's Science and Technology Affairs Secretary. Abdus Sabur said that the 12th national parliament election is going to be different from all previous elections. There is no alternative to this election to protect constitutional state. The anti-independence Jamaat-BNP boycotted the election and boycotted the spirit of the liberation war. In response to this, the people of the country will once again elect national leader Sheikh Hasina as the Prime Minister.

Chief Patra and Honorary General Secretary of Engineers Institution Engineer S.M. Manjurul Haque Manju said, Victory Day is an adorable day for people of all walks of life. Three million martyrs sacrificed their lives to achieve this victory. Bangladesh has lost her valiant children. The engineering community is working everywhere to protect the continuity of the victories achieved. Engineers will be by the side of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as a vigilant guard in building the smart Bangladesh of the future.

Engineer Md. Shahadat Hossain Shiblu, Vice-President of Engineers' Institution and Secretary General of Professional Coordinating Council said, "Many have lost their loved ones to achieve the victory of Bangladesh. I also lost my father in this liberation war who was brutally killed by the Pakistani occupation forces and their local allies. It is a matter of hardship as well as the fact that my father has sacrificed his life for this country is truly a matter of pride. I pray for the peace of the souls of all the martyrs who were martyred during the liberation war.

IEB Central Committee Assistant General Secretary Engineer Amit Kumar Chakraborty, IEB Dhaka Center Editor Engineer Md. Nazrul Islam and various department and center engineering leaders of IEB were also present at this time.

It is worth mentioning that, 30 engineer members of the Institution of Engineers', Bangladesh (IEB) were martyred in the Great War of Independence and Liberation and more than a hundred engineers participated in the war.
